halle: "Mom, how do babies know their names?"

me: "You call them that, and then they learn what their name is. Like when you talk to Zoe, you say 'hi Zoe'."

halle: "Well, when I have kids, what am I going to name them?"

me: "What ever you want."

halle: "Well it depends on if it is a boy or a girl."

halle: "If it is a boy, I am going to name him 'Jon Arbuckle'."

(now for those of you not up on your Garfield cartoons...Jon Arbuckle is Garfields owner.)

me: (laughing histerically) "Well, your husband might not like that name...for that matter, your son probably won't either!"

halle: "Ok, how about Jake."
