Random...

This is what happens when your son is "growing his hair out", and he decides to be funny one night...*sigh*. He wanted to put bobby pins in his hair and see how he would look. He is cute, but I have to say he makes a much cuter boy than girl! DORK!

This is his "surprised" look!

I forgot to post about my birthday...it wasn't anything to get excited about...Halle was home with a horrible cold, and the stomach flu. I worked for 12 hours that day...lucky me! My husband did however buy me the most beautiful pink roses. Here is a picture of one of them.

He also bought me an ice cream cake. My mom also made me the most delicious carrott cake with cream cheese frosting...devine!
Happy Birthday to me...I can't believe that people question me when I say that I am 25. Kylee is actually my sister!

It's beginning to look A LOT like Christmas...

And, this just happens to be my most favorite time of the year! I love snow, and how beautiful it makes everything. I love that my kids have anticipation of playing in the snow, snowboarding, Christmas, etc. I love the joy that there is this time of year. We have had our house decorated since the week after Thanksgiving this year, only I haven't had the time to enjoy it, or to write about it. So here it is, our house looking A LOT like Christmas!

Our Christmas tree every year is real, it is a tradition that I have had since I was a child. There is nothing quite like a "real" tree. Our decorations are a modge podge of everything. I have heard some people say that if you don't have a tree that has a "theme" it is ugly. I have to disagree with that. Our tree has ornaments, no 2 the same, and they all have a memory, or some sentimental value to them. Some of them aren't too cute, but they bring back a memory of times past. Every year our kids get a new ornament to put on the tree, and Clay's family does an ornament exchange. I love our tree, perhaps it isn't the most beautiful, or "perfect" tree, but it is beautiful to me.

Here is our fireplace, yes, you will notice that there are only 3 stockings. That would be because I haven't had the time to finish the other 2 for Clay and I. They are so cute, my mom has made 1 for each of my kids, and I just need to get the time to finish the others. Perhaps next year!

Here is my favorite sign that I have in my house. I made this at Super Saturday...I am not the craftiest of them all, but I loved the message this has.

I love ornaments, and this is one of my favorite.

Here is a picture of the Creche (sp?) that Clay gave me last year for my birthday. I love that it is unique, and not many people have it. It is beautiful, and this picture doesn't do it justice.

This is one of my favorite things...I know the picture is horrible, but it is a picture of decorations that Halle brought home from school. The first one is a Christmas tree with some decorations that she painted. The other one is a picture of Rudolph, and there is a letter to santa...in true Halle fashion, her letter reads...
"Dear Santa,
Can you find my house?"
She is a worrier that one!

I finally decorated my door this year...it looks like it is a million feet tall, and that would be because it is a million feet tall. I went to Roberts on a perfect day. All of their Christmas decorations were 75% off. I scored this garland, it is beautiful, it has large pinecones all over in it. And, this beautiful wreath, and holder for under $60.

This is one of my favorite sights...my Christmas cactus finally in bloom. This little baby has over 30 blooms. I LOVE this plant. I will post pictures of it in full bloom.

And, of course my cute little snowman friends...I love snowmen, and snowwomen!

Last but not least...the white stuff. It is the 22nd of December, and we have finally looking like Christmas outside! It has been crazy mild this year, and I have been hoping for a white Christmas! These are some pictures that I took of the front of our house today. It is beautiful!

Look at that tree, it has little red berries all over it, add the snow, and it is breathtaking!

I had to post a picture of Clay shoveling the driveway...he was shoveling for 2 hours, and by the time he came in to have lunch it had snowed another 2 inches. This is one task that I HATE!
Merry Christmas!

EXCITING!!!

Today was a super exciting day for Kylee!!! She had her Futsal (indoor type soccer) tournament game today. They were supposed to play on Friday, but they cancelled it, because of the weather, and they rescheduled it for this morning at 8:00. This wouldn't be a problem other than Kylee had her big appointment with the Orthodontist to have her braces taken off! This was one appointment that she DID NOT WANT TO RE-SCHEDULE, and I don't blame her one bit.
She played her game this morning, and pulled off a win! They won 3-2!!! She was super excited, but we couldn't stay around for the trophy ceremony...we had to race to get to the Orthodontist, which was 15 minutes away on a dry day...and it was SNOWING like crazy. We raced there as fast as we could, but were still 15 minutes late. Anyone who knows me, knows how I hate to be late, I think it is super rude. Everything worked out ok though, everyone else was late because of the weather!
She got her braces off, and if I might say...not being biased at all....he is one Beauty! I can't believe that she has had them on for 18 months! She is only in the 6th grade, and she is done with braces...what a lucky girl! Anyway, here are some before and after pictures of the little beaut!

Before leaving for her game...a mouth full of METAL! (But still cute!)
A little magic with the pliers...and voila! They look amazing!

She was so looking forward to a "Tangy Taffy"...she hasn't been able to eat one for 18 months...we stopped at the gas station, and wouldn't you know it, they were out. So, she opted for her second fav...sour skittles! Yuck!

She gets her retainer tomorrow at 4pm....until then she is metal free!

Happy 36th Birthday Clay!

36 years ago today my mother in law gave birth to this cute boy! I can't really believe that he is that old, I remember my parents being that old, and nearly dying!
I was going to try and post 36 things that I love about Clay, but at this point in the day my brain can't even function at 1/2 capacity!
I am thankful that I met him 13+ years ago, and that he was dumb enough to ask me to marry him! I am thankful for the great husband and father that he is. I am thankful that he is a worthy preisthood holder, and that he loves me!
Happy Birthday Clay, I hope you know how much I love you, and how much the kids love you!

This is what you get for a birthday cake when your wife is a super slacker! He loves Dunford Donuts, and so I got a dozen of them, and made a "cake" out of them! He was happy, so I guess that is all that matters!

The Big Present...

So...this year for Cayden's 9th birthday Clay really wanted to get him a shot gun. My first thought was that he would shoot his eye out. Lord help us all! But, Clay was really persistent, and lo and behold...look what he got! Cayden was super excited! We had to give it to him before we left for St. George, because we really didn't want to carry a gun with us down there! Here are a couple of pictures of him, the first one is of him as soon as he got it. Clay made him close his eyes, and then surprised him with it. The last couple are of their first hunt together. Clay, Cayden & my dad went down to Nephi and went Pheasant hunting on Friday. Cayden didn't want a birthday party this year, he just wanted to skip school, and spend the day with his dad hunting. It was an added bonus that grandpa came along! He got his bird with the first shot. THIS apparently is pretty awesome!

Look at the excitement on his face (don't worry people it is kept in the safe completely locked up, infact it takes Clay a couple of times to actually get the safe open)

Proudly displaying their "kill".

At first Cayden was holding the gun straight into Clay's face, not on purpose of course, but we decided it would be better facing the other direction!

Good Gosh, where do I begin...

We have had such a crazy life lately! Halle had to have another tooth pulled. Her dang teeth are coming in behind her baby teeth, therefore not pushing her baby teeth out. Clay took her to the dentist, and when the dentist pulled it out, he nearly died! He said that there was no way that her tooth would have come out on it's own. I was taking some pictures of Hal, and she decided to do the "KISS" tongue! She has the longest and pointiest tongue I have ever seen!

Big Cheese, showing off her 2 missing teeth. I love this girl, she is so cute!

Here is the cute "treasure box" that the dentist gave her to put her tooth in.

Can you believe that this came out of Halle's mouth? It is the longest tooth I have ever seen. My dad made the comment that her tooth must have gone nearly to her chin!

Not quite sure what this is...hopefully not a foresight into the future?! She loves to "wear" my high heels...this one I just had to take a picture of!!!

Here is a picture of Cayden at his birthday dinner/lunch at Red Lobster. He loved the shrimp, and loved the dessert even more!

He received his Bear badge in scouts, and was really excited to be with the older boys now!

Now on to Halle's Thanksgiving Program... these are backwards, but seriously who has time to fix them. This is a picture of us when she was done. I love it when she does a natural smile...it doesn't happen too often!

I love this picture, it is of her doing some "pilgrim dancing". Not quite sure what that is, it was very similar to square dancing...but whatever! She looks so cute~
Sorry about the modgepodge of pictures, but at least it is one update!~ More to come, Clay and Cayden went hunting for his birthday, and today is Clay's birthday, so stay tuned!
