Halle's Big Day!

It's true, my baby is officially eight. How is that possible?  I vividly remember being on bed rest while I was pregnant with her for, oh I don't know like 80 weeks, and that seems like last month!

She is such a fun little person, and such a sweet girl!

Halle turned 8 on January 17th, she decided she wanted a "pajama party", so that's what we did!  She invited over 10 friends, they all wore their jammies, and we had a great time!

Can't you tell?

She wasn't excited...at all!!!

She decided to be baptized, and become a member of our church.
She was baptized on Saturday February 5, 2011 at 9:00 in the morning!

She picked out her own baptism dress, and in true Halle fashion, it was called the "Cinderella" dress...fitting!
Just a warning, there are more pictures of me in this post than are on the entire blog...I apologize!

We always knew that Halle was a special little girl, but she started doing missionary work long ago.  This is Beth, she is our neighbor, and she and Halle have become grand friends.  Halle runs dinner over to her a few nights a week, and they exchange cute notes/gifts for every holiday.  Halle really wanted Beth to come to her baptism, and so she invited her.  Beth came (30 minutes early so she could sit on the front row) to her baptism, and then Halle invited her to come to church with her the next day (Beth hasn't been to church in the 7 years that we have lived here), and she agreed!  Halle has an amazing spirit, well beyond her years.  What an awesome example of service, and friendship she is to me!

Halle and her only living Great Grandparents.  What an honor for her to have her great grandpa stand in for her blessing and confirmation.  These 2 people mean so much to me, and to my children.  I am so thankful for them, and all that they have taught me.  Grandpa turned 80 last year on Valentine's Day, and Grandma turns 80 this year!

Halle has 1 girl cousin her age on both sides, Abby and Hal love each other!
Halle and her best friend (who used to be in our ward but moved) Sadie Mull.  It makes me laugh to look at this picture, because Halle is literally a head taller than Sadie.

We had such an awesome day, so many family and friends came to show their support and love to Halle and our family.  Thank you to all who came!
